When the idea of an original pizza oven hit my mind, I started immediately researching what other people built and what would be a successful way for me to build my own brick pizza oven.
My focus was on a complete built project, I mean not a buy and stick it together. There are a lot of great sites on the web but what finally got all my attention was Brick Wood Ovens https://www.brickwoodovens.com/outdoor-pizza-oven-kits
These guys have great DIY built kits and their goal is to hold the cost minimum but building a maximum product. The costs for the material are a couple of hundred dollars but you will get finally a brick oven worth a couple of thousands.
One thing you have to take into account. It is time-consuming and you will need help as some steps cannot be done alone. Altogether a great experience, where you see step by step what you create and the end a great result.

Important is to layer the firebricks for the cooking surface in a fishbone structure. This makes it later possible to slide a pizza in and out without hitting a brick as the structure supports a smooth sliding.

Finally, the built of the oven dom can start. This is an easy process as the form will help you to place brick by brick around it and magically the dome gets built. The same way like in the old times these brick ovens where built.
After the bricks the oven has o be covered in a fiber blanket (white). The fiber blanket keeps the heat in the oven. Around the fiber blanket is a chicken wire to hold the blanket but to as well let the concrete stick to the blanket and cover it.
